Frequenty Asked Questions

For exterior photos and videos, homeowners do not need to be home.  We ask that everything outside is set up for how you would like it to appear in photos.
You are welcome to come and watch!  Most agents come check it out for the first time or two and then we continue to just go on our own for future listings.  We know you are busy, so if you can’t be there, that’s ok!
Please ask homeowners to:
-Shut garage doors
-Remove vehicles from driveway (preferably park down the street)
-Arrange their front and back patios by straightening chairs, cushions, and plants.
-Pick up the yard to include: hoses, toys, and tools.
-If there is a pool or hot tub, open the cover.
If you order still photos, it will usually take less an 30 minutes.
If you are adding drone video, we may be there for up to an hour.

A lot of times we get the drone airborne and start snapping all of the interesting angles from above so when it is time to review them all,  it is hard to decide which 10 to go with.

From closer shots to capture the detail of the property to mid-altitude height shots to show the yard to higher shots of the surrounding street, neighborhood, and nearby sites, we believe 10 photos will best showcase the features the property has to offer.  Plus, not skimping is a great way to show your clients you are doing everything you can to sell their house for them!

If you would like us to include a park or school in the neighborhood to round out the ten photos, we are willing to include that.

Just as a license is required in real estate to sell property, a license is required to operate a drone for commercial purposes.  Training is required for licensing.  There are Federal Aviation Administration laws that all drone operators must follow.

An unlicensed drone operator may operate a drone for recreational purposes only and may result in a fine from the FAA if operations are for considered to be for commercial purposes.

All of our pilots and drones are FAA licensed.  If you currently use an unlicensed drone operator, we would love to connect to be your drone photographer.  Being licensed ensure airspace rules are followed while keeping the community safe.
The short answer, yes!  As licensed drone pilots, we are allowed to fly legally in controlled airspace, we just need to ask permission first.  Sometimes the height we can go up to is limited, so we may not be able to go as high.   If your listing is within a mile or so, it may be in a no-fly zone.  We can request permission from the FAA, however sometimes it may take up to two weeks to get approved.  Just give us a heads up, and we will apply for the authorization.
We realize that your leads and your clients are your everything!  All of our drone pilots appear on site, representing Visual Approach Imaging solely.  There will be no mention of any other professional services that we offer, to include agent representation.  If you feel more comfortable, If you would feel more comfortable, we are willing to add a non-compete clause.
